The Big Show

Humpback whales bubble net feeding is one of the world’s great wildlife spectacles. Working as a team, a group of whales dives, locates a school of herring, and blows curtains of bubbles to encircle them. Driving their prey to the surface, they burst through, jaws agape. Southeast Alaska is the premier spot to view this unique behavior.

“Beautifully written, A Wolf Called Romeo is a thoughtful and moving story about one of nature’s most evocative animals. Be forewarned: I read it cover to cover in one sitting late into the night. The author owes me a good night’s sleep; but it was well worth it.”
